POSITION: Security/AOCC Dispatcher
REPORTS TO: Operations Supervisor

SUMMARY
The Security/AOCC Dispatcher is responsible for maintaining a secure and efficient airport environment by monitoring security and operational systems, coordinating daily airport activities, and supporting compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations. This role is critical in ensuring that all areas of the airport remain safe, secure, and customer-focused for passengers, staff, and visitors. The position requires keen observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to security incidents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• An employee in this class, under general supervision, performs complex clerical work requiring substantial use of a computer system and is required to make independent work decisions.
• Monitors the airport access control system, CCTV monitors, FIDS/BIDS, HBS, and AOCC-related systems for compliance with TSA Security Directives as well as the Airport Security Program.
• Receives, coordinate, and track airport operational events and dispatch responses as needed.
• Documents and report incidents, suspicious activities, breaches, and operational issues.
• Monitors the airport environment for hazardous weather and reports conditions as appropriate.
• Prepares and maintains daily reports and logs.
• Provides customer service support to tenants, contractors, and the public.
• Conducts AOCC equipment inspections and report malfunctions.
• Operates complex computer system, data entry and typing.
• Performs other duties assigned must be available for rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Knowledge of dispatch practices, office procedures, and airport operations.
• General Knowledge of FAA/TSA regulations including FAR-139, FAR-77, TSR 1542, preferred.
• Ability to follow complex instructions and make sound dispatching decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AOCC System (CAD, CCTV, Access Control).
• Experience in customer service procedures.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in security, surveillance, dispatching, airport operations, or law enforcement is preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple and complex, technical correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers (internal and external), customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid Driver’s License as a condition of employment.
