POSITION: Administrative Security/Compliance Officer
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
LOCATION: USVI Territory

SUMMARY
The Airport Administrative Security/Compliance Officer provides direct support to the Operations Manager and is responsible for managing the airport badging processes, ensuring compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations, and performing general administrative duties to support airport operations. This role involves overseeing day-to-day administrative badging tasks and also ensuring the secure and efficient operation of the airport while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Assists the Operations Manager in planning, organizing, and managing administrative badging functions.
• Oversees the issuance, renewal, and revocation of airport security badges in compliance with TSA standards, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines and the ASP.
• Verifies and validates all documentation and criminal record history for badge applicants.
• Collaborates to update and maintain the Airport Security Program (ASP) and other compliance-related documentation.
• Performs office duties and responsible for maintaining organized records.
• Prepares and submits required TSA reports and maintains detailed and updated documentation of compliance activities.
• Creates and distributes reports, memos, and other documentation as required by airport management.
• Acts as a point of contact for airport tenants, contractors, and employees regarding badging and security policies.
• Ensures updated training and maintains track record of all badge applicants.
• Performs in the gathering of information for preparation of the airport fiscal budget and follow-up of expenditures.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This position requires shift work.
• This position requires emergency response work, if needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

• Considerable knowledge of policies, local and federal rules/regulations applicable to airport operation.
• Ability to draft written correspondence, regulation, and procedures from general instructions, and to prepare reports.
• Ability to assign work and to supervise a staff of clerical personnel.
• Ability to develop general assignments into specific results by organizing material and by independently developing procedures and training subordinates in such procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other department officials, and stakeholders.
• The ability to interpret and understand complex procedural and general administrative legislation, rules, and policies and apply them to a wide variety of problems for recommending courses of action.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proven knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
EDUCATION
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Completion of TSA-mandated training programs preferred.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in airport operations, security, or administrative roles.
• Familiarity with TSA regulations and airport badging processes is highly desirable.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple and complex, technical correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers (internal and external), customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid Driver’s License as a condition of employment.
