Purpose of the Job
The Manager, Information Technology, is responsible for ensuring IT vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations in accordance with agreed upon service-level agreements (SLA). The position is also responsible for building strong relationships between Clients, Vendors and Project Co., managing technology and service, contracts, monitoring and controlling scope changes, validating payments and reporting vendor performance to program leadership team. In addition, this includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly end user equipment and systems, network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunication systems. This role interacts with key Vendor managers and Client functional areas of IT Services, as well as key business unit managers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
IT Governance:
- Responsible for monitoring, forecasting, review and compliance of Project Co. contracts.
- Identifying, articulating, recommending IT related initiatives
- Manage amendments to contracts by ensuring compliance to scope change management processes
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with Vendors Delivery Managers to develop the appropriate measurements to manage vendor performance Manage payments by obtaining appropriate reviews of deliverables progress completion.
- Pro-actively manage vendor issues/risks.
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure adherence to all contractual obligations.
- Establish vendor account reviews with key Vendor and stakeholder representatives.
- Stewardship activities related to contract performance including SLA development and monitoring.
- Stewardship activities related to technology evolution as expected by the Clients.
- Monitor, control and report Vendor Risks to appropriate project management team.
- Provide updates as required on progress of individual contract commitments.
- Responsible for the collection and management of contract / supplier data in accordance with program’s data management policies and procedures.
Project Support:
- Coordinate with Project Owner, stakeholders, Legal, and Finance during project execution.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to fulfill agreed upon scope within agreed upon timelines, including on site attendance, vacation tracking, team meeting/event tracking etc.
- Provides IT level one support.
Other Duties:
- Provides user training to new employees.
- Supports organizational change.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Solid knowledge of IT technology, IT trends and directions.
- Significant knowledge of contract formation, contract law and supplier relationship management specifically Information Systems software and service contracts.
- Significant experience with SDLC.
- Fluency with ITSM principles based on ITIL V3 framework.
- Agile methodology experience preferred.
- Highly professional team player with superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail oriented with drive for efficiency and timelines.
- Ability to work as a team and independently.
- Experience with MS Office applications: Visio, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.
- Experience with information gathering, presentation development, process improvement, and task prioritization.
- Superior oral and written communications skills, including good listening skills.

- Ability to carry out detail-oriented tasks accurately and independently.
- Willingness to work in a team environment, assisting team members and contributing to the overall objectives of the team.
- Experience with financial management and reporting considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Airport IT systems considered a strong asset.
