POSITION: Parking Lot and Curbside Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Airport Operations Manager

LOCATION: USVI Territory
AIRPORT: Henry E. Rohlsen (St. Croix)

SUMMARY

Coordinates operation of parking needs of traveling public and other users of the airport, oversees the daily operations of airport parking facilities (parking lots and/or garage) and curbside areas to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-friendly service. Responsible for overseeing and ensuring franchise agreement compliance. This role involves supervising parking and curbside traffic flow, coordinating with ground transportation providers, and enforcing safety and security regulations. The supervisor ensures that parking facilities are well-maintained. Supervises and schedules parking personnel and assists in all areas of parking services as back up.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Supervise and schedule parking and franchise monitor personnel
• Inspect and maintain parking lot spitters and barriers and ensure that equipment is in good working condition
• Verify parking attendant’s money at end of shift and then turn over money to Accounting
• Notify Safety & Security via two-way radio or telephone of need for Law Enforcement Officer due to double parking, etc.
• Count and certify money daily for parking agents, balance proceeds and receipts daily.
• Coordinate the preparation of monthly billings and collections for employee parking and other monthly users
• Respond in writing to request for information, complaints, etc.
• Monitor parking lot equipment and coordinate minor repairs; Order necessary supplies for parking lot spitters
• Coordinate minor or major repairs of parking lot/garage equipment such as wayfinding, lighting systems, pavements, and painting with Maintenance or third-party contractor through the maintenance department.
• Regulate parking and traffic in and out of lots/garage; place sign in public’s view when lot or garage is full.
• Inspect parking lots for potholes, etc. and report any repairs needed to Maintenance
• Coordinate with ground transportation providers (taxis, rideshares, shuttles, etc.) to ensure efficient operations.
• Conducts meetings with franchisees in the compliance and education of all aspects of the agreement.
• Schedule shifts to ensure adequate staffing levels for all areas of responsibility.
• Record tag number of vehicles left in lot/garage at the end of business
• Place written notice of payment due on windshield of vehicles in lot/garage before and after operating hours
• Watch lot/garage for suspicious activity and report such to Safety and Security

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Associate’s degree in general business, transportation or related field.
• Experience in parking operations, transportation, or airport services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers (internal and external), customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid state issued ID as a condition of employment.
