Position Title: Technical Coordinator
a. Purpose of the Job
SkyCity is looking to hire a Technical Coordinator for Airport Operations. The role will be responsible for managing and coordinating the technical aspects of airport operations. This role involves ensuring that all technical deliverables meet operational objectives, maintaining effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, and supporting the successful completion of operational projects within the specified timeline and budget.
b. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical activities – related to airport operations, ensuring alignment with operational goals, timelines and aviation standards
- Develop and manage operational plans, including detailed schedules, scope and budget, tailored to the unique requirements of airport operations.
- Oversee technical team resources and schedules to ensure timely progress and adherence to operational milestones.
- Provide technical guidance and support to operational team members
- ensuring high-quality work and compliance with aviation industry standards
- Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, airport authorities and aviation operations teams.
- Identify and mitigate operational risk, implementing strategies to address potential issues proactively
- Participate in regular operational meetings, providing updates on technical progress, identifying challenges, and proposing solutions.
- Ensuring comprehensive operational documentation is maintained, including technical specifications, reports, and compliance records.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices relevant to airport operations.
c. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Aviation Management, Construction Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in technical coordinator or project management roles, preferable in airport operation, aviation, or infrastructure projects
- Strong project management skills, including planning, risk management and resource allocation
- Proven experience in coordinating technical projects with cross – functional teams.
- Excellent communication skill, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project,
- Knowledge of airport aviation and airport operations is highly desirable.
